At least five Lebanese troops killed in clashes

At least five Lebanese troops were killed and 10 wounded in clashes with al-Qaida-linked operatives in Tripoli and an adjacent Palestinian refugee camp early Sunday, security officials said. TV stations said at least three of the operatives were also killed in the fighting, which involved tank and grenade fire. The Lebanese army command would only say there were dead and wounded among its troops and military units were fighting back.
