Bombing in Baghdad kills 2

Two people were killed and seven were wounded Monday when an improvised explosive device struck an army patrol in eastern Baghdad. Police said the explosion, which occurred on Palestine Street, killed one Iraqi soldier and one civilian. The attack also wounded five soldiers and two other civilians and badly damaged the patrol car. Monday's attack comes a day after a truck bomb exploded in a Sunni area of northern Baghdad, killing 12 people and wounding 23. The attacks raise concerns about a revival of sectarian conflict.
