In a television interview on Tuesday, US President George W. Bush said that at this stage in time the United States intends to only exercise the diplomatic option when dealing with Syria, Army Radio reported. However, Bush said that Syria must treat the demands from the rest of the world seriously, and that Syria must not interfere with the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, must prevent anti-US insurgents enter Iraq from its territory, or interfere in internal Lebanese affairs.
