Egypt seizes weapon cache near border with Gaza

Two boxes containing rocket-propelled grenades and hand grenades were uncovered on Egypt's border with the Gaza Strip on Saturday, an intelligence official said. Border guards and security forces uncovered the weapon caches buried under the sand north of the Rafah crossing in the northern Sinai Peninsula, the official said speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to speak to the media. The border guards, security forces and sniffing dogs continued to search for more weapons Saturday in the area, the official said. Its not clear yet who buried the weapons and who was set to receive them on the Gaza side of the border.
