Egyptian police shot on Wednesday at two refugees from Sudan and Ghana who were trying to cross the border into Israel.
The two refugees were in critical condition, an Egyptian security official reported.
The wounded men, who were in their 20s and 30s, were taken to El-Arish Hospital.
Egyptian security forces have killed 11 refugees trying to cross the border, most of them African, this year.
