Former Syrian vice president blasts Bashar Assad

Syrian President Bashar Assad was dealt more bad news Friday night after former Syrian Vice President Abed al-Halil Hadem said that the embattled Syrian president "could have prevented the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri." Speaking during an interview with Al Arabiya news, Hadem said he asked Assad, "Why are you involved in Lebanon, it is damaging to you and to (Syria). "He behaved in an illogical manner with the Lebanese government," said Hadem.
