Senior Hamas official in Gaza Halil el Haya claimed on Wednesday that a Hamas delegation was invited to come to Moscow.
Khaled Mashaal, the organization's leader residing in Damascus, reportedly said that Syria would head the delegation, Israel Radio reported.
El Haya told Palestine, a Gaza-based paper, that the delegation would focus in Moscow on renewing negotiations with its rival Fatah.
Palestine is a paper controlled by Hamas.
