Hamas: PLO call to resign will cause more division

A call by PLO leaders on the Hamas government to resign is an attempt to overturn the Palestinian people's democratic choice, a Hamas spokesman said Saturday.
"We warn that such decisions will lead to more division that will heat up the atmosphere," said the spokesman, Ismail Radwan.
On Friday, the PLO Executive Committee called on the Hamas government to resign, following a deadlock in talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on forming a national unity government acceptable to the West.
