Hizbullah denied an IDF claim that warplanes bombed a leadership bunker of the guerrillas in south Beirut late Wednesday, saying the strike hit a mosque that was under construction and that no one was killed in the hit.
The IDF said a wave of aircraft dropped 23 tons of explosives on a bunker in south Beirut's Bourj al-Barajneh district where senior Hizbullah leaders were thought to be, including its top leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah.
Soon after, Hizbullah issued a statement saying "no Hizbullah leaders or elements were killed in the strike."
