Iran dimisses US accusations over recent Baghdad blasts

Iran rejected Sunday US charges that an Iranian-backed militia was responsible for recent bombings in Baghdad, calling them more American propaganda.
On Saturday, US spokesman in Iraq Rear Adm. Gregory Smith said four members of an Iranian-backed Shi'ite militia cell had confessed to bombing a pet market the day before, killing at least 15 people.
"Contradictory reports have been heard about the bombing. But remarks by the Americans were made with the aim of making propaganda against Iran," Mohammad Ali Hosseini, spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry told reporters in his weekly news conference.
