Iraq: Gunmen kill satellite channel cameraman

Gunmen in two sedans Monday shot and killed an Iraqi television cameraman in the northern city of Mosul, police said. Mohammed al-Ban, a cameraman for al-Sharqiyah satellite channel, was killed about 9:30 a.m as he and his wifer wre leaving their home in Mousul, 360 kilometers (225 miles) northwest of Baghdad, according to police Brig. Abdul-Karim Ahmed Khlaf. Al-Ban's wife was wounded. Khalaf said the motive for the killing wasn't known. The station had no immediate comment. Last month, unidentified gunmen killed Leqaa Abdul Razzaq, an anchorwoman for the station, as she was traveling in south Baghad's lawless Dora district.
