Iraq president affirms good health after collapse
In his first interview since he was admitted to hospital, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said Thursday he was in good health and would be returning to his country, but gave no date.
"I enjoy good health, despite the rumors you've heard," Talabani, 73, told Associated Press Television News in an interview recorded at al-Hussein Medical City, a hospital in the Jordanian capital of Amman.
Talabani collapsed Sunday in northern Iraq, suffering from exhaustion and dehydration caused by lung and sinus infections. He was flown to Jordan for treatment later the same day.
