Roadside bombs targeted police Saturday in northern and southern Iraq, killing two policemen and wounding three, police said.
One policeman was killed and two others wounded when an explosion struck their patrol in central Hillah, a predominantly Shi'ite city about 95 kilometers south of Baghdad, local authorities said.
A roadside bomb also hit a patrol in Mosul, 360 kilometers northwest of Baghdad, killing a policeman and wounding another, according to police in the city.
