Iraqi PM arrives in Egypt as part of Arab tour

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki arrived in Egypt on Sunday at the start of a four-nation Arab tour aimed at winning support for his government and its efforts to reduce widespread sectarian violence in his country. Al-Maliki was received at Cairo's airport by his Egyptian counterpart, Ahmed Nazif, and was to meet later in the day with President Hosni Mubarak and Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa, according to a program distributed to journalists accompanying him. Al-Maliki, who was making his first visit as prime minister to Egypt, the Arab world's most populous nation, was heading a delegation that included Iraqi Interior Minister Jawad al-Bolani and other top Iraqi officials.
