Israeli, Syrian officials arrive in Turkey for 4th round of talks

Delegations from Israel and Syria arrived in Turkey Tuesday evening for a fourth round of indirect peace talks, a Turkish official said. Turkish mediators have been shuttling between the Israeli and Syria negotiators during three previous rounds of indirect talks since May. The talks have been conducted in secret in Istanbul and results have not been made public. Turkey is trying to get the sides to meet face-to-face. The official says the sides arrived in Turkey on Tuesday to hold a new round of indirect talks this week, but refused to give details, citing the secrecy surrounding the meetings.
