Jordan's military prosecutor has extended the detention of four Islamist lawmakers who paid condolences at the family home of al-Qaida terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a judicial official said Monday.
The four deputies, who were detained June 11, have been charged with instigating sectarian strife and fueling national discord.
The judicial official told The Associated Press that their detention was extended by "another 15 days, pending further questioning." He spoke on condition anonymity because he is not allowed to make comments to the press.
