Jordan's king, Abbas meet ahead of PA president's Moscow, Washington talks

A royal palace statement says Jordan's King Abdullah and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have met in Amman ahead of the Palestinian leader's talks in Moscow and Washington.
The Tuesday meeting follows weekend talks between Abbas and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. The statement says King Abdullah has renewed his call on Israel to halt the construction of new settlements and lift its blockade of Gaza.
