A senior US official said Tuesday that Kuwait has not decided whether to forgive US$15 billion its neighbor Iraq owes the oil-rich country, according to an aide to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Al-Maliki was in Kuwait to meet with Emir Sheik Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah to discuss the debt, which dates back to Saddam Hussein's former regime.
