Lebanese security: 2 al-Qaida allied Palestinians killed in refugee camp

Two Palestinians allied to a pro al-Qaida group were killed in a clash with members of the mainstream Fatah movement in a southern refugee camp, Lebanese security officials said Saturday.
One of those killed was a member of the Jund al-Sham group, which follows the extremist ideology of al-Qaida, and the other with an affiliated organization.
Security officials said that Shehadeh Jawhar, a Jund al-Sham military commander, was critically wounded in Saturday's clash. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the press.
The clash took place in the Ein el-Hilweh camp which has a population of 70,000 and is the largest of Lebanon's 12 Palestinian refugee camps.
