Libya frees Swiss held amid row over Gadhafi's son

The Swiss Foreign Ministry says Libya has released two Swiss citizens who had been detained amid a diplomatic row over the arrest of Moammar Gadhafi's son. The ministry says a Libyan judge ordered the men freed on bail on Tuesday and that the men are now in the Swiss embassy in Tripoli. The two were detained after Swiss authorities arrested Hannibal Gadhafi and his wife in Geneva earlier this month. The couple were later released and returned to Libya. The episode prompted a series of diplomatic recriminations that included Libya halting its oil shipments to Switzerland. The Swiss Foreign Ministry says efforts to ease the tension between the two countries continue.
