Hamas's leader-in-exile Khaled Mashaal said Saturday that the current escalating violence between the Hamas and Fatah factions in the Palestinian Authority would cease only after the United States stopped interfering in Palestinian affairs.
Mashaal told a Qatari newspaper that he blamed the US for trying to topple the Hamas-led PA government, and also called on Arab nations to join the struggle against Israel, Army Radio reported.
