Hamas, Fatah, and Mustafa Barghouti's Independent Palestine - the three main parties vying for representation in the Palestinian Legislative Council planned large campaign rallies for Monday.
Monday was scheduled as the last day in which campaigns would be permitted for the January 25 elections, Israel Radio reported.
Palestinian security forces already began voting on Saturday.
