'Media making internecine PA violence worse'

Media outlets in the Palestinian Authority are making the internecine violence between Fatah and Hamas worse by playing to their respective audiences' expectations, the London-based pan-Arabic daily Asharq alawsat said Sunday. The article added that Radio Al-Quds, run by the Islamic Jihad, was attempting to play down the intra-Palestinian conflict by calling on other Palestinian media to "stop broadcasting 'unfortunate' news and concentrate on the 'crimes of the Israeli army in Gaza and the West Bank.'"
