Several Palestinians suspected by Hamas of being responsible for a series of explosions that occurred in the Gaza Strip last week, one of which killed five Hamas gunmen and a six-year-old girl, attempted to escape to the Sinai through a tunnel, Israel Radio reported Tuesday.
Them men's flight into Egypt was unsuccessful, and they were arrested upon crossing the border.
Egyptian security officials were quoted by the station as saying the men denied any connection to the series of blasts and claimed that they were escaping the Strip because of Hamas's series of arrests.
