Morocco shuts down Al-Jazeera North African news show

Reporters Without Borders on Wednesday urged Morocco to overturn a decision forcing Al-Jazeera to stop broadcasting a daily show on news from across North Africa.
The Paris-based media advocacy group said the broadcaster's Rabat bureau, which broadcasts the show, was informed Tuesday that the frequency the program used was being closed down for "technical and legal" reasons.
Reporters Without Borders said the decision was "incomprehensible." The program sometimes broadcast news that was sensitive in Morocco, but the advocacy group said there was no sign the decision was triggered by any specific stories.
