Palestinian report: IDF tank fire kills Gazan

A Palestinian medical official said that an IDF tank fired upon and killed Mohamed Fara, 45, a Gazan farmer working in his field near the border with Israel on Tuesday. The IDF denied the report, and said that tanks had not fired any shells in southern Gaza for over 24 hours. Fara was from the village of Abbasam in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian witnesses said tanks patrolling the Israel-Gaza border fired sporadically throughout the night and morning because heavy fog prevented soldiers from being able to decipher whether Palestinians were trying to infiltrate Israel.
