Palestinian telecoms firm warns it may cut Gaza service due to power cuts

Pal Tel, the main telecommunications company in the Palestinian territories said it would cut its services to the Gaza Strip by Sunday if full electricity supply and fuel deliveries are not resumed to the Strip by then. The Israeli blockade imposed in response to rocket attacks from Gaza have cut supplies of fuel and power. "Our network servers and our teams need fuel for operation," a company statement said Thursday. "The shortage will leave us unable to provide our services for Internet, telephones and cellular phones," it said.
