Former Palestinian National Security Advisor and veteran Fatah member Jibril Rajoub said Thursday that when the Hamas takes office, they would also take charge of the Palestinian security apparatus.
Speaking to Israel Radio, Rajoub said that Hamas would head the forces in accordance with Palestinian Basic Law.
In early February some reports had claimed that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas had wished the Fatah to retain command over the security forces.
