The international Red Cross has sent humanitarian aid to Palestinians from a refugee camp caught up in fighting this week in neighboring Lebanon where the army is battling Islamic militants, according to a Thursday statement in Jordan.
A convoy of 11 truck with over 220 tons of food items left late Wednesday the Jordanian capital, Amman, destined for some 10,000 Palestinians who fled the Nahr Al-Bared refugee camp near the northern city of Tripoli, the statement by the International Committee of the Red Cross said.
