Report: All Fatah and Hamas captives released

The remaining Fatah and Hamas members who were kidnapped by the rival sides on Monday have been released, an Islamic Jihad operative in Gaza told Al Jazeera on Monday night. Throughout the day, abductions and violence abounded in Gaza between supporters of the two parties, as tensions have grown between the sides over the formation of a Palestinian unity government. Among those kidnapped was senior Fatah official Sufyan Abu Zaidah, who was released soon afterwards as negotiations continued for the release of the rest of the captives.
