Report: Lebanese president wants Israeli land

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud said that Lebanon should claim land within Israel, a Lebanese paper reported Sunday. According to Al-Balad, unnamed sources at the presidential palace said Lahoud wants Lebanon to fight not only for the Shaba Farms, which Israel occupied in 1967, but for lands in the northern border city of Metulla and the border kibbutz Misgav Am. Despite a UN resolution and increased pressure from Lebanese, the pro-Syrian president also opposes the disarming of Hizbullah in southern Lebanon.
