Security officials in Beirut: 5 more people killed in late night clashes

Five more people have been killed in clashes between pro- and anti-government supporters outside the capital of Beirut, Lebanese security officials said Saturday morning. The latest deaths raise to 20 the number of people killed since violence erupted Wednesday in Beirut and around the country between the Hizbullah-led opposition and supporters of the government Four of those killed were opposition backers who clashed with supporters of anti-Syrian Druse leader Walid Jumblatt in the mountain town of Aley, east of Beirut late Friday night. Another civilian died in the clashes in the southern city of Sidon.
