Strong detonations rumbled through Baghdad after sundown Thursday - part of what appeared to be an artillery barrage.
The blasts appeared to be in the southwestern area of the city.
Residents of the Jadriyah neighborhood said the blasts rattled windows but they did not believe the explosions were in that area.
