Syrian Palestinian group: No link to Lebanon bomb

Palestinian Fatah Uprising group based in Syria dismissed on Wednesday allegations by a Lebanon government official that it was behind last month's bombings on two commuter buses that killed and wounded several people near Beirut. Lebanese Interior Minister Hassan Sabei said on Tuesday that police had arrested four Syrian members of the little-known Fatah Islam group - an alleged offshoot of the Damascus-based Fatah Uprising - who confessed they were behind the February 13 attack on a mountain road at Ein Alaq, northeast of Beirut, which killed three people and wounded 20. Sabei had also said Fatah Islam's alleged split was only a cover. "Everyone knows that Fatah Islam is the same as Fatah Uprising and they are part of the Syrian intelligence security."
