Three US soldiers die in vehicle accidents in Iraq

Three US soldiers died in two separate vehicle accidents in Iraq, the military said Friday. The Task Force Lightning soldier died of injuries sustained Thursday when a vehicle rolled over, the military said in a statement that did not provide more details. Two Multi-National Corps soldiers also died at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday as a result of a vehicle accident at Camp Liberty, on the edge of Baghdad, the military said in a separate statement. The names of the soldiers were being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The deaths raise the number of US soldiers that have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003 to at least 3,087.
