The UN has reported a significant increase in the amount of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip via Israel, Israel Radio reported Thursday evening.
According to a UN report, the aid that entered Gaza in the past week constitutes 70 percent of the minimum weekly food needs of Gaza residents, whereas the previous week, only about 20% of that minimum entered the strip.
A UN source added that in order to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Israel must allow 120 truckloads of food and supplies to enter the strip on a daily basis.
