Unidentified gunmen fire at Fatah's security chief

Several unidentified Palestinians shot at an armored vehicle transporting Fatah's security force's head Rasheed Abu Shabak in Gaza on Saturday, in what appeared to be an assassination attempt. Abu Shabak was not wounded in the attack. Meanwhile, Egyptian officials assisting in resolving tensions between Fatah and Hamas were angered by the latter's repeated violations of understandings reached with other Palestinian factions, Israel Radio reported.
