IDF soldier Netta Brand, missing since Wednesday morning, was found dead on Thursday morning near Beit Shemesh. It appeared that he shot himself, and his army-issued weapon was found next to his body.
A suicide note discovered at Brand’s home after he went missing stated: “Do not cry for me.”
Military police launched an investigation, and will transfer its findings to the IDF Legal Division for examination. Brand, who served in the Givati Brigade, left his home on Wednesday morning, but never returned. Brand had served in the army for approximately a year and had been recognized for his excellence as a soldier.
