Hamas: Schalit receives fair treatment in captivity
Soldier not tortured, all his vital necessities addressed, Hamas claims; Noam Schalit to discuss petitions calling for delay of prisoner releases.

Hamas said on Monday morning that kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit received fair treatment in captivity and was not tortured, Army Radio reported.The soldier received treatment according to Islamic moral values and all of his vital needs were addressed, the organization said, according to the report.RELATED:Aviva Schalit urges courts not to delay prisoner dealFamily begs for daughter’s killer to be kept in prisonThe Gaza based terrorist organization refused to give details on the route it will take or where the captive soldier will be taken across the border into Egypt during Tuesday's upcoming prisoner exchange, the report said.Noam Schalit will be present at noon on Monday to discuss the petitions against the release of his son, Gilad Schalit, Army Radio reported early Monday morning.
Recently, the Supreme Court had blocked such intervention in the petition process, according the report.The discussions will take place in front of three judges and led by Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch.The High Court of Justice ruled on Sunday that it will hear a petition at noon on Monday against the release of 1,027 Palestinian prisoners involved in the exchange deal to release Gilad Schalit.The petition was filed by the Almagor Terror Victims Association on behalf of several bereaved family members of people killed in terror attacks carried out by the prisoners due to be released.The petition asks the court to delay the prisoner releases to allow bereaved families more time to examine the list of prisoners and to organize a response.Click for full JPost coverage of Gilad Schalit
