The Central District Attorney indicted a 25-year-old Kfar Saba man on Thursday, charging him with extorting teenage girls to film themselves performing sex acts via their webcams.
According to the indictment, Shai Frislis browsed internet sites and forums for young teenage girls between 2005 and 2011 to contact them via Web chat programs. He told the girls he was a computer hacker who had infiltrated their machines, and threatened to destroy their computers if they did not strip and perform sex acts for him via their webcams.
Many of the minors consented to the acts because they were so afraid of Frislis’s threats, the indictment says.
Frislis is charged with multiple counts of extortion, multiple counts of indecent acts with a minor under 16 and indecent assault using threats, two counts of attempting to indecently assault a minor under 14, and two counts of attempting to indecently assault a minor under 16.
The district attorney also filed a request to remand Frislis in custody for the duration of the legal proceedings against him.
