Itzik believes Peres will ask Livni to form government Staff
Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik, of Kadima, said Sunday that she believed President Shimon Peres would entrust party leader Tzipi Livni with forming the coalition since Kadima was the largest party. Itzik told Israel Radio that after Livni is tasked with building a government, she would ask Likud to join. "Likud is a very important party, and we need to march on together," she said, adding that it appeared the public wanted both parties to lead.
