At least 231 people are believed to have been injured in clashes that broke out in Cairo Saturday between groups of armed men and pro-reform demonstrators, al Jazeera reported quoting Egypt's health ministry.

Witnesses said most of the injuries occurred when civilians believed to be thugs hurled barrages of stones and at least six firebombs at demonstrators, who fought back with stones torn up from the pavements.
