The Gush Shalom movement has called for a boycott of the David's City historical attraction in the east Jerusalem village of Silwan. The group has also demanded that authorities investigate whether any of the funding for the site's recent advertising campaign came from public monies. Gush Shalom claimed that the purpose of David's City is to back up Elad settlers in their efforts to expel Silwan's Arab residents and to "brainwash" the visitors to the site.
