Britain confirms sarin gas use in Syria
The British Foreign Ministry said tests revealed use of the nerve gas sarin in the Syrian civil war, the Independent reported on Wednesday.

The British announcement comes on the heels of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who said tests done on samples smuggled out of Syria by Le Monde reporters show use of chemical weapons in the war-torn country.

While France accused the Syrian regime of deploying chemical weapons, Britain's statement did not attribute to sarin gas use to either side.
