PA official: Abbas on first official visit to Cairo since Morsi ouster
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday made his first official visit to Cairo since the ouster of elected Islamist President Mahmoud Morsi, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.

Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rdainah confirmed the visit to Ma'an, stating that Abbas will arrive in Egypt shortly and stay for a few hours.

According to Abu Rdainah, the visit is aimed at strengthening relations between Palestinian and Egyptian leadership, but officials will also discuss the peace process and movement between the two countries across the Gaza Strip.
