Six firefighting aircraft worked to extinguish a forest fire that broke out near an army base on Mount Meron, Army Radio reported on Sunday.

The fire affected the surrounding area, which lead to the evacuation of nearby Moshav Amirim.

Meanwhile, six people were injured from smoke inhalation in Tiberias, because of a fire that broke out in a residential building in Shimon Dahan street. Firefighters managed to control that fire and were investigating its cause.
