Netanyahu to Palestinians: Stop delegitimization campaign and return to peace talks

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met visiting German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier Sunday, addressing the West's negotiations to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran, as well as the peace process with the Palestinians.

"Iran is interfering on multiple fronts in the Middle East. This is what it is doing without a nuclear weapon. This deal will give Iran, within a few years from now, multiple nuclear weapons. A better deal must be reached."

Addressing the stagnation of the peace process and the Palestinian decision over the weekend to pull its request that Israel be ousted from world soccer body, FIFA, Netanyahu said, "The only way is direct talks. I believe that the solution is two states for two peoples. I am saddened that while we loosen restrictions, the Palestinians have been dealing with their move at FIFA and with attempts at delegitimization. We need to send a clear message to the Palestinians - stop this campaign and come back to negotiations without preconditions."
