Japanese Christians honor Holocaust Remembrance Day with a Ceremony in Fukuyama.
A ceremony was held yesterday at the Holocaust Education Center of 1.5 Million Jewish Children in the Holocaust. DiscoveryT, an Israeli outgoing organized tours company (an Israeli guided tour company) group accompanied by tour guide Yossi Belogrozky were present at the moving ceremony.

This is the first educational center in Japan designed for children to learn about the Holocaust. It was established in 1995, by the Church of Jesus Christ of the Association of Japanese Christians and Friends of Israel (also known as the "House of Peace Japan").

The center aims to raise awareness of the importance of promoting world peace among young people. You will find a library with books and information on the Holocaust in Japanese and other languages, children's books about the Holocaust. The place also serves as a gallery for paintings about the Holocaust. In the center of the exhibition is a memorial room containing the shoe of a child who perished in the gas chambers, as a symbol of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust. The room serves as a memorial service.

Toward the end of the center's display are six transparent columns against a wooden Star of David, in memory of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. These pages are filled with 1.5 million rhymes representing each of the children who perished in the Holocaust. In the backyard of the center is a statue of Anne Frank.
