Mazuz: Katsav must leave Beit Hanassi

Attorney General Menachem Mazuz contended Tuesday that President Moshe Katsav should leave his Jerusalem residency. Mazuz made his argument in a letter to Knesset legal advisor Nurit Elstein, also asking her to clarify what the temporary suspension's consequences were. Mazuz emphasized that it is not fit for the president to stay at his residency "especially in light of the circumstances in which one of the complainants still works there, and other workers are being investigated and some are to become prosecuting witnesses, while the president is being accused of harassing a witness who is still an employee of the president's residency."
