Controversial right wing lawmaker lashes out at Leftists for violence and incitement.
Police arrested a 41-year-old man on Wednesday after he threatened Likud MK Oren Hazan.

The arrest followed complaints two weeks ago that the man used Facebook to post threats against the lawmaker, spurring an investigation.

During the arrest, police carried out a search of the suspect’s home, seizing his computer and phone.

Hazan said in response: “For years, we’ve been told that the Left is not about violence..., but reality teaches the reverse: The incitement and threats from the Left are growing, with active encouragement from the media, which incite against right-wing public figures.”

The Likud legislator said this is not the first time he faced threats and even physical violence.

“Today, the police arrested one of them,” he continued.

“I hope that maybe the Left will understand that they are not above the law and the blood of elected officials on the Right is no less red than that of those on the Left.

“Even when it is difficult, I will continue to defend my way and ideology and say the truth. I will not be deterred and I certainly will not be silent,” Hazan said.

Earlier this week, Attorney- General Avihai Mandelblit decided to charge Hazan for attacking and insulting a public servant over an altercation between him and the director-general of the Ariel Municipality.
